What types of vehicles does Argo Expedite work with?

We work with Cargo Vans, Sprinter Vans, and Box Trucks. Cargo and Sprinter Vans must be 2015 or newer and meet our basic vehicle and insurance requirements.

Owner-operators must maintain active commercial insurance for trucking-for-hire operations, including:$1,000,000 Commercial Auto Liability$100,000 Cargo Coverage Unlimited nationwide operating radiusAll vehicles and approved drivers must be listed and covered under the policyPolicies limited to a 200, 300, or 500-mile operating radius are not accepted.

How quickly can I start working with Argo?

Accepted Answer

Once all required documents are submitted and approved, the onboarding process can typically be completed within 24 hours, allowing you to get connected with dispatch quickly.

Does my vehicle need to be owned, or can it be leased?

Accepted Answer

Your vehicle may be owned or leased, provided you have the required documentation and authorization to operate it commercially.

Question 5

Is there forced dispatch?

Accepted Answer

No. As an independent owner-operator, you are free to accept or decline any load offered to you. Each available load offer will include the pickup and delivery details, rate, and other relevant information so you can make an informed decision.Once you accept a load offer, please allow the dispatch team up to 15 minutes to secure and book the load. During this time, you should not accept or pursue other load offers from another dispatcher.

How often do owner-operators get paid?

Owner-operators are paid weekly. Standard payments are processed every Friday for all loads delivered between Tuesday of the previous week and Monday of the current week. For faster payment, Quick Pay is available within 48 hours of delivery for a 5% fee.

Is loading or unloading required?

Accepted Answer

No. Argo Expedite operates with a no-touch freight policy. Owner-operators are not required to load or unload cargo and should not handle the freight during pickup or delivery.

Do you offer local and OTR loads?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Argo Expedite offers both Local and OTR (Over-the-Road) freight opportunities. Local runs are generally within a 350-mile radius, while OTR loads involve longer-distance travel and may require driving across multiple states. Load availability depends on your location, vehicle type, and current freight opportunities.

Question 9

Is a security deposit required, and what is it for?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A $300 refundable security deposit is required, with no upfront payment. The deposit helps establish a responsible and committed working relationship while providing protection against certain outstanding obligations or charges that may arise under the Owner-Operator Agreement. It is collected in three $100 installments from weekly settlements and is refundable according to the terms of the agreement.

Is the freight dedicated?

No. Argo Expedite primarily provides on-demand expedited freight opportunities rather than dedicated routes. Our dispatch team searches for available loads based on your current location, vehicle type, and availability. You’ll receive the load details and rate before booking and can choose whether to accept or decline each opportunity.

Can I choose my own schedule?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Owner-operators operate independently and have the flexibility to choose when they are available to work. On days you are available, simply provide your current ZIP code to the dispatch team each morning so they can begin searching for available freight opportunities in your area.

Is this opportunity only for owner-operators, or can drivers apply too?

Accepted Answer

This opportunity is primarily for owner-operators who operate their own vehicles. However, if you own the vehicle and have a driver operating it, you may still work with Argo Expedite as long as your driver is the primary point of contact with our dispatch team and is authorized to review, accept, or decline load offers on your behalf. This allows our dispatch team to respond to available loads quickly without waiting for additional approval from the vehicle owner.

Question 13

Does Argo charge owner-operators a dispatch fee?

Accepted Answer

No. The rate presented to you by our dispatch team is the amount you will receive for the load, with no additional dispatch fee deducted from your payment. Argo’s compensation is negotiated separately with the broker or customer and is not deducted from the owner-operator’s agreed rate.
